The Post reports that the NYPD is stepping up its presence in subways, to prepare for a subway gas attack. There's been more terrorist "chatter" to the effect of some sort of attack, and the subway stations under close watch are: Downtown Brooklyn, City Hall, Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station. Brother, just the thing to read just before or after the morning commute.
Additionally, the FBI's NY director, Pasquale D'Amuro told WNBC that there are terror cells in New York. Gothamist understands that Director D'Amuro is trying to expain that there is still a lot of work to be done, so with this new information, we'd like more results, less talk.
