
The MTA braces itself for the first big day of commuter traffic on the rerouted subway lines. Yesterday, which was the first day of service, transit workers were out in force with maps in different languages, but still many, especially tourists, were confused. The MTA says to expect a few days to get used to the changes. There's also hope that the reopening of the Grand Street stop will help area businesses in Chinatown.
