A 72-year-old substitute teacher at a Connecticut high school was arrested yesterday after he was allegedly caught masturbating in the school's hallway.

Michael Luecke, who works as a music teacher sub at Westhill High School in Stamford, was allegedly found lying on the ground of a hallway by a teaching assistant at around 7:30 a.m. yesterday. The teaching assistant initially thought she was injured, but discovered his fly was open and he was "manipulating his penis," according to police. Her statement was corroborated by surveillance video, which also showed six students walking by Luecke while he was allegedly masturbating.

Officials say the teacher reprimanded Luecke and told him he "had to find somewhere else to do that." He then returned to his classroom, and was later removed by police, reportedly telling them during interrogation that he was fixing his pants. He has no criminal history, is not a registered sex offender and was cleared during a school background check. "All of that was done for that individual and his record was clean," Sharon Beadle, a spokesperson for the Stamford Public School system, told the Daily News. "He's worked with us since 2009 and there hasn't been another problem."

Luecke, who has also subbed at the middle school and high school in Greenwich, CT, has been dismissed from his position. He is charged with public indecency, breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor, and is being held on $10,000 bail.
