Hundreds of students rioted through the hallways of the Murry Bergtraum High School yesterday after their bathroom privileges were taken away by principal Andrea Lewis. Though a teacher told GothamSchools that Lewis “also said that in the case of emergency, kids could use the bathrooms in the nurse’s office," the damage was done and many of the school's 2,600 resorted to mayhem during yesterday's fifth period.
NY1 has some student photos of the riots, which lasted for twenty minutes. Students dispersed by the time the cops arrived. Meanwhile, students on Twitter are threatening to keep it up until they get their bathroom privileges back.
