The NBA season gets kicked off in a week, and with no movement on the Carmelo Anthony front, and a disappointing 2-5 preseason, Amare Stoudemire and the Knicks are already trying to lower expectations for the new-look Knicks, to the point of shrinkage: "The Knicks haven't made the playoffs in nine, 10 years. Anything better than we did last year is a success."

The Knicks are coming off a rotten 29-53 season, nine straight losing years including six out of the playoffs. Stoudemires words were a downgrade from statements he made to reporters earlier this week: "But playoffs is something we're looking forward to and we're trying to get to that point." Then again, how could we expect anything more from the Knicks, considering that they are God-forsaken.
