Stay Vigilant For Changes On The 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, A, C, D, E, F, L, N, R & S Trains This Weekend

Though some of us may have wiled away the majority of this workweek transforming our apartments into makeshift TB wards, the weekend is almost here. Unfortunately, freedom from your office just means you'll be a slave to the whims of weekend subway trackwork. As poet Jean Lorrain once said, "It is the sheer ugliness and banality of everyday life which turns my blood to ice and makes me cringe in terror,"—and he'd never even set foot on the Chambers St J platform!

Here's what's on tap this weekend:

1 trains will not run in either direction between 14 St and South Ferry from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

2 trains will make local stops in both directions between Chambers St and 34 St Penn Station, with that change in effect from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

3 trains will make local stops in both directions between Chambers St and 34 St Penn Station, with that change in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 12 midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

Crown Hts-Utica Av bound 4 trains make local stops from 125 St to Grand Central-42 St from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday. During that period, Woodlawn-bound trains will make local stops from Crown Hts-Utica Av to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

5 trains will not run in either direction between Eastchester-Dyre Av and E 180 St, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday. Trains will run every 20 minutes between E 180 St and Bowling Green; this change is in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Downtown 5 trains will make local stops from 125 St to Grand Central-42 St from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, and again from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall bound 6 trains run express from Pelham Bay Park to Hunts Point Av from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday. All 6 trains will run between 3 Av-138 St and Pelham Bay Park every 16 minutes, and some Pelham Bay Park-bound trains will terminate at 3 Av-138 St. That change is in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

All A trains will reroute along the F line from W 4 St-Wash Sq to Jay St-MetroTech, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday. During that period, A trains will make local stops between W 4 St-Wash Sq and 59 St-Columbus Circle. On the Brooklyn-bound track, trains will run express from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and then again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. On the Lefferts Blvd-bound track, trains skip 104 St from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

All C trains will reroute along the F line from W 4 St-Wash Sq to Jay St-MetroTech, starting at 6:30 a.m. and ending at 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Brooklyn-bound trains will run express from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle during that period.

Norwood-205 St bound D trains will reroute along the N line between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and 36 St, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday. On that same track, trains will run express from 36 St to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, with that change in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Monday, and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

All E trains will reroute along the F line from Roosevelt Av to W4 St-Wash Sq starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday. Trains will run local in both directions in Queens starting at 12:01 a.m. Saturday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday.

F trains will not run in either direction between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and Kings Hwy starting at 11:30 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday. Trains will make local stops in both directions in Queens, with that change in effect from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

L trains will not run in either direction between Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs, starting at 11;30 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday.

Queens-bound N trains will make express stops from 59 St to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

R trains will run to and from the Jamaica-179 St F station from 6:30 a.m. to 12 midnight on Saturday and Sunday. Manhattan-bound trains will make express stops from 59 St to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr during that period. R trains will not run between 59 St and 36 St in Brooklyn in either direction from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

The Rockaway Park S Shuttle will not run from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

The 42 Street S Shuttle will not run from 6:30 a.m. to 12 midnight o nSaturday and Sunday.
