A man bleeding from multiple stab wounds walked into the Midtown South Precinct stationhouse on West 35th Street last night at approximately 11:30 p.m. seeking help. Cops say the 66-year-old man had just been stabbed in the chest and back during a confrontation with another unidentified man, somewhere near the southeast corner of West 36th Street and Ninth Avenue.

EMS were called to the stationhouse and the victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, but did not survive. He was pronounced dead at the hospital around 1 a.m., ABC7 reports, and his identity is being withheld from the public until police can notify his family.

The suspect remains at large, and no description has been provided the the media. But a police source tells DNAinfo that the victim knew the man who killed him. The NY Post reports that investigators are reviewing security camera footage of homicide, which shows the suspect stabbing the victim multiple times before running away.
