Ever enjoy watching the Mets lose another soul-crushing, heartbreaking game so much, you wish you could just spend the night in Citi Field, letting their mediocrity seep fully into your dreams/nightmares? Well, now you can!
The Mets have announced their first ever Citi Field sleepover for August 10th, which will let fans sleep on the outfield grass (a marked improvement over the Mets current outfield depth), and if you want, even pitch a tent on the warning track.
Fans can also watch the Mets road game that night on the big screen in center field, and will be treated to a dinner buffet, drinks, breakfast, and even the chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Met, all for an affordable $200. Think of it as a down-payment on keeping Matt Harvey in Flushing.
All fans attending the sleepover will also receive a ticket to the September 28th home game against the Brewers.
So get ready to... Meet the Mets (field)! Step right up and greet the Mets (field)!
