Police in Rutherford, New Jersey say someone has been sticking razor blades in parking meter coin slots. It's good to have a hobby!
While they have yet to identify a suspect, local cops have developed some insightful theories about the perp's potential motives.
"It may be a disgruntled resident who doesn't want to pay the parking, but it could be someone definitely trying to injure someone," Rutherford Police Chief John Russo told NorthJersey.com. "Either way someone could really get hurt."
So far, workers have uncovered seven blades over the past six months. A warning has been posted to the borough's website cautioning drivers to avoid caressing the coin slots for the time being.
