[UPDATE BELOW] The NYPD is searching for a suspect who tagged the Manhattan Bridge with a massive "NYPD KILLS" message this week, according to the NY Post.

The tabloid reports that the graffiti was first spotted yesterday morning, located under the walkway on the south side of the bridge:

It's unclear when the graffiti first went up, but cops have reportedly lifted fingerprints from the scene and are in the process of hunting down suspects.

Workers with the Department of Transportation attempted to remove the tag yesterday.

Update 12:11 p.m.: Animal reports that the artist behind the "NYPD KILLS" tag is VEW, who has previously made work that is critical of the NYPD.
