2008_02_subtracks.jpgThe snowy weather is causing the usual commute problems: The snow accumulation is around 4-6 inches in the city, with more to the north and a little less to the south, and visibility is low for drivers. There are a number of accidents on highways and roads, and more are sure to happen later on in the day when the snow is expected to turn into freezing rain and sleet.

For some subway riders, there are some other kinds of problems to deal with: There's switch problem at Parkside Avenue Station and another in the Westchester Yard, meaning that the B is on the local between Brighton and Dekalb (so the B and Q are running with delays) while the 6 is running with delays in both directions.

Additionally, there's no limited bus service on NYC Transit buses. Check the MTA Service alert page regularly for updates.
