Get the hot chocolate ready—and this should make Saturday's naked bike lane protest interesting: NYC is expected to get 3-6 inches snow, according to AccuWeather—and WCBS 2's Megan Giaros says, "All five boroughs, back to parts of northern New Jersey and the Lower Hudson Valley, could get as much as 5-10 inches."
Why? Giaros explains, "At the Gulf Coast, we can see a big mass of rain. As this low pressure emerges out over the Carolina coastline and rides up the eastern seaboard as a nor'easter, it's cold enough here that that moisture will become snow." However, 1010 WINS reports, "the exact track of the winter storm system is still uncertain. A difference of only 100 miles will have a significant impact on the weather across the region. A glancing blow with less snow and lighter winds remains a possibility for the region."
The snow is expected to start tomorrow morning, tapering off by Sunday morning. Long Island is under a Blizzard Watch till Sunday morning.
