Last night was a bloody one for the boroughs: six men were found shot to death in the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn starting Friday afternoon through early Saturday morning. At 2:50 p.m., 28-year-old Kareem Holifield was found at Spender Place and Fulton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant with several gunshot wounds to his body; Holifield, who lived on Jefferson Avenue between Bedford and Nostrand Avenues, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Just before 5:30 p.m., police found 20-year-old Frank Fortuna stabbed in the neck at 88th Avenue in Woodhaven. Fortuna was also pronounced DOA when he was taken to Jamaica Hospital; 18-year-old Queens resident Yoearis Diaz has since been arrested and charged for his murder. At 1:30 a.m., 18-year-old Anthony Rivera and a 19-year-old man who has yet to be identified were found at a West Farms Road apartment building in the Bronx, shot respectively in the arm and leg. Rivera was pronounced DOA at an area hospital, while the other victim is still in stable condition. Also in the Bronx, at 4 a.m., a 32-year-old man whose identity has not yet been released was found fatally shot at a building on Leland Avenue.

Back in Brooklyn, an unidentified 28-year-old man was found shot in the head at 4 a.m. on Carlton Avenue in Fort Greene, and he died after being taken to Brooklyn Hospital. And at 6:47 a.m. at East 93rd Street in East Flatbush, officers found 26-year-old Frantlee Alcinder shot in the head and torso. Alcinder, who lived one block away, was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made in that shooting.
