A high school student was beaten by another student at South Richmond High School earlier this week over an apparently minor thing. The Staten Island Advance reports that a teenage girl was "[i]ncensed because she believed another student passed gas near her [and] allegedly bashed the boy in the head with a metal stool."

The alleged attack occurred on Monday. Apparently the girl, 17, "also punched the 15-year-old victim's head about 10 to 15 times while cursing and yelling at him." The victim required eight stitches.

The teen was charged with arrested on felony and misdemeanor assault. South Richmond High School is a special education school.
