Is it just us or does there seem to be more club-related violence lately? Last night, two women were shot at Crobar. The Post says that a man "pulled out a gun and started shooting," forcing the club to be shut down around 10:20PM. The two women are in stable condition and the police are still looking for the gunman.

Most notably, the case of Opus 22 bouncer Stephen Sakai, accused of shooting four patrons and being involved with three other murders, weighs in people's minds, but sometimes patrons turn on bouncers, such as a woman shanking a bouncer at the Hudson Hotel last fall. And in 2004, a woman who was at 28th and 9th Avenue, waiting for a cab after a party at Crobar, was kidnapped and raped.
