sharptontarget.jpgPerhaps unfamiliar with Al Sharpton's over-the-top approach to politics, some people have not reacted well to the Reverend's recent nationwide exposure as Don Imus's most prominent critic. Sharpton has increased his personal security detail and tightened security at his National Action Network headquarters after receiving a growing number of death threats. WNBC reports:

While Sharpton received some death threats since MSNBC and CBS pulled the plug on Don Imus' show, the two news networks said they got even more death threats Friday.

Sharpton may be a rabble-rouser, but he's our New York rabble-rouser, so this has us feeling unexpectedly concerned for the Reverend's safety.
