Having already been outed for marrying 10 different men in an alleged decade-long marriage scam, "Serial Bride" Liana Barrientos, 39, has been arrested for farebeating. And she apparently evaded said subway fare right after pleading not guilty to the aforementioned marriage fraud charges. Out of the frying pan into the fire, as they say.
Barrientos was charged with two counts of filing false instruments on Friday, after authorities discovered she'd claimed on a marriage license application and license that she'd never been married before, despite having married 10 men—and only divorcing a few of them—over the past decade.
Shortly after entering her plea, though, Barrientos and her 19-year-old niece allegedly walked through the emergency gate at the East 149th Street and Grand Concourse subway station in The Bronx. Barrientos was arraigned again on Friday for theft of service.
Authorities believe that Barrientos, who is currently married to four (!!!4!!!) people, had been turning men into brother-wives in order to sneak them into the country illegally.
