Former employees at cosmetics retailer Sephora are suing the chain for discrimination. Five Hispanic women claim their bosses would make fun of them when they spoke in Spanish and asked that they not speak in Spanish at the store, though other store workers spoke in French and Italian to each other, alleging there was a no-Spanish-in-stores company policy. Additionally, they were told to smooth their hair to be "more French." Hmm, Gothamist wonders if being more French extends to being annoying and haughty.
Abercrbombie & Fitch wanted their employees to wear only A&F clothing.
