Five skydivers wearing wingsuits jumped from a plane flying over Lower Manhattan Sunday morning and landed on a barge in the Hudson River. The carefully choreographed stunt, which you can see in the video below, was performed by members of the Red Bull Air Force as part of a promotion for the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach on Memorial Day Weekend. Check it out:

Jumping from an altitude of 7,500 feet, the skydivers reached speeds exceeding 120 mph and were on the barge in about two minutes. “Being from New York, this is so special and I’ve been dreaming about this since I was a kid,” skydiver Jeff Provenzano after the jump. “It’s been years of looking up at the big buildings and wondering if there is a day that I can fly over them. That day was today.”

Wingsuits are "special jumpsuits that add surface area to the human body to enable a significant increase in lift," the Red Bull website explains. Please to enjoy this unrelated wingsuit video (skip ahead to the 1:40 mark).
