Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital with a blood clot stemming from the concussion she suffered from earlier this month, it was found by her doctor during a routine follow-up today.

According to the AP, Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines says that Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants, and she was admitted so "doctors can monitor the medication over the next 48 hours."

Clinton suffered a concussion earlier this month after fainting due to a stomach bug. The State Department released a statement at the time, explaining that she "became dehydrated [while sick with the virus] and fainted, sustaining a concussion." She had been home in Chappaqua recovering.
