In these tight economic times, the Daily News tries to give its readers some advice on how to save money in New York, like going to the Meat Packing district for cheap meat, or going to the Flower district for well-priced flora.
While Gothamist nods and says, "Great ideas, we'll save [-] much money," the truth is that like most New Yorkers, it's only a steal when it's a sample sale or Barneys warehouse sale and you managed to snatch that sexy marked-down-80% black dress (the kind that makes you feel like Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's even though you're nowhere Audrey-like) from some bitch.
