Looks like there's a week of lazy, mid-summer weather in store for the next several days. The Bermuda high is in the house. That means hazy, hot and humid conditions. Today's high in the low 90s has an outside chance of being accompanied by a late afternoon shower.

More heat is on tap for tomorrow. Look for a high around 92-94 degrees. That will be the fifth 90 degree day this month, which is average for August. More significantly, the approach of a weak cold front may be enough to set off widely scattered showers or thunderstorms by Tuesday afternoon.

The front should bring in a brief respite from the humidity. Under sunny skies Wednesday will still be warm with a high in the upper 80s. The next few days will temporarily push August's mean temperature close to a record pace for the month. Muggy weather, a chance of showers, and somewhat lower temperatures return on Thursday (though we're not ready to buy that high of 79 the Weather Channel is peddling).
