The 89th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was a cartoon balloon bonanza for thousands of families, but it wasn't without incident. A Russian tourist was given a summons after he and his son were caught flying a drove over the parade.

The drone was spotted by police flying near West 77th Street and Central Park West around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Cops tracked down the operator, a 41-year-old Russian tourist whose name hasn't been released; he was with his 14-year-old son, who according to the Post, "lives with his mother in Florida."

According to NBC, the man claimed he didn't know about the law forbidding the drone flight. Although he was given a summons for flying a drone (it is an administrative violation), he was allowed to keep the drone.
