After her 17-year-old daughter, who had been missing for a week, was found in a Jersey Shore home, Rosie O'Donnell Tweeted a 2012 Barnegat-Manahawkin Patch story, which mentioned a couple being arrested for drug and child endangerment charges, and singling out the name "STEVE SHEERER." Now it seems that her daughter was found in Sheerer's home on Tuesday night, hiding in the attic.

According to the Asbury Park Press, "Barnegat Officer Nicholas Dapuzzo went to the home and confronted Sheerer at the front door, according to [Barnegat Police Lt. Keith] Germain. Noticing Sheerer was acting nervous, the officer pressed Sheerer, who ultimately relented and allowed the officer to search the home. Dapuzzo searched the home and found O'Donnell in the attic with her dog, Bear, according to Germain."

The Daily Mail spoke to Dapuzzo, who said, "When I got to the house, a man there said she wasn't in house. I told him of the severity of the incident, she was a juvenile and she needed medication. He finally let us in the house and Chelsea was hiding upstairs in the attic. He didn't want us going in the house, but she came right down 'She said she didn't want to be home and came here 'Thursday-ish'.'"

"She was a little apprehensive. It was written on her face that she didn't want to go. I told her she was a juvenile and she needed medical attention and she needed to come with me," Dapuzzo continued. "I wouldn't say he was a boyfriend, more of an acquaintance. She stayed there a few nights and she had stayed elsewhere, but she wouldn't tell me where. I couldn't say that they were sexually involved. But they met through Tinder sometime in July."

The police were able to find Chelsea by pinging her burner phone. Her own cellphone and laptop were left at her home in South Nyack, NY.

The APP adds, "Sheerer, 25, was arrested in 2012 and charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell and endangering the welfare of a child... A man by the same name and age was convicted of drug possession and distribution in 2013 and sentenced to 90 days in jail and two years probation, according to records maintained by DataUniverse."

Rosie O'Donnell Tweeted last night about Sheerer and trying to help her daughter, including a story from Chabad:

A source close to O'Donnell told Page Six, "Rosie is relieved that Chelsea is back but is frightened for her daughter, she is extremely upset that Chelsea was with this guy. He’s 25, a heroin dealer who lives with his mother," while her official rep said, "Rosie is relieved to have Chelsea back safely but is obviously very concerned about her well-being."
