An out of control driver struck two pedestrians and a car while speeding through a Queens park Saturday night, before eventually driving his van into a pond, police officials confirmed. According to NYPD, at least six people were injured in the incident, including a 19-year-old woman who is now in critical condition.

The incident happened around 7:30 last night on Brookville Boulevard in Rosedale, Queens. After rear-ending another vehicle with three passengers—one of whom was taken to the hospital with a leg injury—the driver of the van plowed into the two pedestrians, as well as several signs and poles. He then crashed into Conselyeas Pond. PIX11 obtained video of the moments after the man emerges, knee deep in water, from the van:

According to witnesses who spoke with CBS, the driver appeared to be going forty miles an hour through the crowded park before slamming into the pond.

"After the van hit the car, the van ran over the same girl that was tossed up in the air,” Far Rockaway resident Sean Hines told the station. "It’s just crazy, everybody was in the water, they jumped in the water and got that guy out," added another.

Onlookers told the Daily News that the driver, dressed in white robes and a gold chain, shouted “Hallelujah!! Praise Jesus!” after walking leaving the pond. Biblical references "Psalm 24" and "Psalm 27" were reportedly etched into the back of the van's windows.

The six people hurt in the accident were taken to Jamaica Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, authorities said. A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition with a head injury, and all five others are stable, police said.

The driver is also at Jamaica Hospital undergoing an evaluation. The investigation is ongoing.
