That Apple would be moving into the old Metrazur space above Grand Central Terminal we already knew. But how exactly the already under-construction Mac mecca will look, that was less clear. Until now. Behold, three glimpses of the future!
As Apple had already confirmed, the new store will not be enclosed in glass and it will not feature lots of signage beyond one glowing logo (which is all the fanboys need, right?). Further, the store's tables will be set back from the railings so that tourists and stop and watch all the hustle and bustle below. Apple is paying for the work done on the space out of its own, very large, pockets. One especially nice addition planned for the new store? An elevator to make the space more handicap accessible. No word yet on when it'll open.
