The weekend has nearly dawned, bringing with it the usual onslaught of brunch-defying subway-related twists and turns intended to root us on our couches to watch 8 hours of the 2007 CBS classic Kid Nation. For those of you who will leave your apartments this weekend, there are a number of changes in place; for everyone else, Kid Nation has been archived on YouTube.
Here's what's on tap:
South Ferry-bound 1 trains will make express stops between 14th Street and Chambers Street, starting at 11:45 p.m. on Friday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday.
2 trains will run express from 14th Street to Chambers Street on the Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College bound track, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and then again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
3 trains will not run in either direction between Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
4 trains will not run in either direction between Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue, with that change in effected from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 7:20 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11:30 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. on Monday.
There will be no service on the 5 in either direction from Eastchester-Dyre Avenue to East 180th Street, starting at 11:45 p.m. on Friday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday.
Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will make express stops between Parkchester and Pelham Bay Park, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 4 a.m. Monday. On the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall bound track, 6 trains will run express from Parkchester to Hunts Point Avenue, with that change in effect from 6:45 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday.
7 trains will run express from Mets-Willets Point to Queensboro Plaza on the Times Square-42nd Street bound track, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday.
Inwood-207th Street bound A trains will make express stops from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to 125th Street, with that change in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. on Monday. Trains on that track will also make local stops between Canal Street and 59th Street-Columbus Circle, starting at 12:01 a.m. Saturday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday.
168th Street-bound C trains will make express stops between 59th Street-Columbus Circle and 125th Street, starting at 6:30 a.m. and ending at 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. During that time period, Brooklyn-bound C trains will skip 50th Street, 23rd Street and Spring Street.
Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue bound D trains will make express stops from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to 36th Street; that change is in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
E trains will make express stops between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue on the Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer bound track from 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 12:15 a.,. to 5 a.m. on Monday. Trains will make local stops between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue in both directions, starting at 12:30 a.m. Saturday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday.
Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F trains will reroute along the E line from Roosevelt Avenue to West 4th Street-Washington Square, and again along the A line to Jay Street-MetroTech, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. on Monday. They will run local in both directions between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue from 12:40 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.
L trains will operate in two sections: between 8th Avenue and Broadway Junction, and then between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway every 24 minutes; this change is in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
There will be no M train service from 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue bound N trains will make express stops between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and 59th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Trains on that line will also skip 49th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Q trains will make express stops between Prospect Park and Kings Highway on the on the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue bound track; that change is in effect from 10:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. On that same track, trains will skip 49th Street, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Forest Hills-71st Avenue bound R trains will make express stops between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Avenue, starting at 6:30 a.m. and ending at midnight on Saturday and Sunday. On the Bay Ridge-95th Street bound track, trains will skip 45th Street and 53rd Street, while 36th Street bound R trains will stop at 53rd and 45th Street; those changes are in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and again from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Also on the Bay Ridge-95th Street bound track, from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, trains will run express between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and 59th Street. During that period, Bay Ridge-95th Street bound trains will skip 49th Street.
