The last Redbird; Photo - NewsdayThe last Redbird train made its journey from Times Square to Shea Stadium yesterday. The old trains are being replaced by the newer high-tech trains. Newsday reports that MTA chairman that the new trains that will have "air conditioning and announcements that can be understood...As we say goodbye to this car, keep in mind it's going to be replaced by something much better."
