It is almost crappier than Shell Bank Creek outside today; so instead of venturing into the rain storm, you could stay home, make some hot-buttered popcorn, get cozy in front of your computer screen and watch real time traffic cameras from all around the city! The city has had traffic cameras up capturing pictures of red light runners, hit-and-run drivers, and unsuspecting people's souls for years now. But we've never noticed the high-tech voyeuristic capabilities of the DOT website, which allows you to watch live feeds from dozens of cameras across the boroughs (particularly Lower Manhattan).
It's all decked out: there's very little lag time with most of the feeds, and certain ones even allow you to change what direction the camera is pointed in. If watching people cross the street gets you off, you have truly hit the jackpot.
