Finally, the Resorts World Casino has been broken in by area criminals: yesterday at about 5 p.m., a bandit strolled into the Aqueduct Racetrack's racino, which opened last October and has since generated over $40 million in tax revenues for the state robbed a cashier of $63,000.
He gave the cashier a note demanding money on the threat of death. While the thief was unarmed, he did pretend to have a gun in his waistband, and the cashier didn't hesitate to hand him the hefty cash collection in her till. Witnesses say the culprit is a Hispanic male wearing a hat, glasses and gloves, and Resorts World Casino spokesman Michelle Stoddard says the incident is currently under investigation.
