A 21-year-old Queens woman was arrested and charged with murder for allegedly killing a pedestrian with her car. Police say that they responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck in Queens Village at 208th Street at 109th Avenue around 11:52 p.m. last night and found 26-year-old Kaman Drumman lying on the ground, severely injured. Officers arrested Dunasha Payne for striking Drumman with her 1994 Honda Accord. Drumman was pronounced dead at Queens General Hospital.
Payne is charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. An NYPD spokesman declined to elaborate on the charges, and a spokeswoman for the Queens DA said that Payne was still waiting to be arraigned. DNAinfo is reporting that the two were a couple.
