A Queens man was arrested by police yesterday after neighbors complained about him shooting into the air in front of his building—and cops found an insane weapons arsenal at his home. Michael Millazzo, 53, was arrested Friday morning at his home in Astoria. Cops recovered two handguns, 26 magazines, 10,537 rounds of ammunition, 32 machetes, 60 knives, 16 air pistols, an air rifle, seven tasers, eight brass knuckles, nine batons and 10 handcuffs at his place. “Eight cops were going in there like they were going for Osama bin Laden. When I saw what they came out with, I said, 'Is all this stuff real?'" Millazzo’s neighbor, Greg Alevreas, told the News.
"He's not all there. He's just odd," Alevreas added. Millazzo, whose apartment is plastered with weapons and military-related stickers (include NRA ones), has one prior arrest in October 2004 for having five rifles and a handgun. He also has an 18-month-old daughter. Alevreas said residents were relieved he was arrested: “We’re happy that he’s gone away. If he came out and shot in the air, what’s he going to do next time?”
