The onset of fall signals an end, finally, to waiting on a boiling 1 train platform for a train that will never come, though you are more likely to suffer scalding from a Pumpkin Spice Latte your straphanger neighbor spills on you when your subway car lurches forward. Guess you and your significant other can spend Sunday apple picking after all, unless one of you tragically comes down with the dreaded Rhinovirus!
