Police evacuated the south wing of the Port Authority bus terminal at about 2 p.m. this afternoon, after receiving an alert about a suspicious package.

The package was wrapped in brown paper and was found outside McAnn's Bar, PIX11 reports.
Port Authority police evacuated the wing for an investigation of both that package and of an abandoned car on the upper level of the terminal. The NYPD deployed officers to assist, a spokesperson said.

As of 3:30, Port Authority police had determined that there was no threat, according to a PA spokesperson, and the terminal had reopened.
