Police are searching for a man whom they believe is behind at least two broad daylight sexual assaults against elderly women in Bed-Stuy. You may recall that at the end of last month a man entered a retail establishment in the neighborhood and attempted to rape a 77-year-old woman. She was able to fight him off and escaped unharmed. ("I think he was trying to choke her and take her clothes off," one area resident told CBS 2.) Now investigators believe the suspect has struck again, forcing a 61-year-old woman to the back of her store on Friday afternoon and trying to rape her.

This victim was also able to fight off her assailant, but she suffered a broken ankle and cuts to her face and arms, ABC 7 reports. The fiend took off "with a fistful of cash," and is still at large. Police describe him as a black man between the ages of 25 and 30, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.
