Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who attempted to kidnap a young girl at the U.S. Open on Saturday.

According to the NYPD, the 11-year-old girl was watching a practice session with her family at Arthur Ashe Stadium at 3:45 p.m. yesterday when a man came up behind her, grabbed her wrist, and demanded that she leave with him or he'd hurt her. The girl freed herself from the man and then kicked him, causing him to flee the scene.

The man is described as approximately 25-35 years old, 200 lbs., 5'8"-5'11" tall, and was last seen wearing a red shirt with stripes, khaki shorts, sunglasses and a tattoo with words on his right wrist.
