Police are asking the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly assaulted an F train rider in late August.

According to police, on August 20th around 9:30 p.m., a 38-year-old man on a southbound F train was threatened by a fellow passenger. When the victim went to get off the train at the 4th Avenue-9th Street Station, the man who had been threatening him punched him in the face, causing him to fall and injure his head.


The victim took himself to Methodist Hospital where he was treated and released. Cops describe the suspect as being between 25 and 30 years old, standing between 6 and 6' 2" tall, and weighing about 170 pounds; he was last seen wearing a multi colored jeans, blue sneakers and a gold necklace.
