Police are on the hunt for two men suspected of beating up a gay couple as they left a Chelsea movie theater Wednesday, bloodying one and sending the other to the hospital to receive seven stitches.

The incident occurred as Michael Felenchak, 27, and Peter Nortman, 53, were leaving Chelsea Cinemas on West 24th Street and 9th Avenue just after 1 a.m. The couple was holding hands when they were approached by two men, one of whom said "What are you looking at, you f------," before commencing the assault. Several other men, believed to be friends of the assailants, joined the fray, injuring Nortman so severely that he required seven stitches on his face.

“I’m not going to take that corner (for granted) anymore,” Nortman told the Daily News. “I’m going to walk a little further and see what’s going on first.
