A man sidled up to a deli customer and groped her in Manhattan last week, and police are now searching for the suspect. In video released by the NYPD, the man appears shocked that the victim objected to being molested.

The incident took place around 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, February 14th, inside Adam's Market Place at 197 8th Avenue. According to the NYPD, the suspect approached the 23-year-old woman "from behind and grabbed her buttocks while she sat on a stool." The woman then "shoved the individual away from her and the store employees forced the male to leave the location," police explained.

He reportedly said, "I'm sorry," when the woman confronted him, and video shows him holding up his hands:

The suspect is wanted for forcible touching. Police described him as being about 5'8" and 180 pounds and wearing a black coat, white hooded sweater, gray scarf, blue jeans and tan work boots with a black backpack. He was last seen walking north on 8th Avenue.
