The NYPD is searching for a man suspected of punching two women inside Queens subway stations during separate attacks last month. Arana Sherlock, 28, is being sought in two racially-charged hate crime attacks, the first of which occurred on the morning of December 8th inside the 88th Street Station in Ozone Park.

According to police, Sherlock walked up to an 18-year-old woman and began making anti-Indian remarks, then punched her in the face and fled out of the station.

Sherlock allegedly struck again yesterday, just after 12 p.m. According to police, he offered to swipe a 30-year-old woman into the Jamaica 179th Street station if she agreed to pay. The woman refused, at which point Sherlock allegedly made another anti-Indian statement and punched her in the head, causing her to fall to the ground. Sherlock again fled the station, and EMS workers treated the injured woman at the scene.

Police describe Sherlock as 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, and last seen wearing a blue jacket, jeans, and boots.
