A 23-year-old driver died this week after crashing his car in Harlem. Now, the NYPD says the driver lost control of his car after being shot in the arm by an unknown suspect, and they're classifying his death as a homicide.

According to authorities, 23-year-old Washington Height resident Amaury Paulino was traveling northbound on Saint Nicholas Avenue at 129th Street at around 4:31 p.m. on Wednesday. Police say he lost control of his 2014 Honda Accord, veered right, and struck an empty, parked Chevrolet. He was transported to Harlem Hospital and pronounced dead.

Upon further investigation however, cops found Paulino had been shot in the right arm by an unknown individual, contributing significantly to his death. The NYPD says no arrests have been made, and they are investigating the incident.
