Police hope the public can help them find the man who tried to rape a woman jogging in East River Park on Thursday.

According to the NYPD, the 42-year-old woman was in East River Park near Houston STreet around 11:30 a.m. when she was thrown to the ground. Then, police say, the suspect removed her pants. The woman was able to fight back, and the attacker fled. The victim was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male (light-skinned) around 17 to 25 years old, last was a grey hoodie and green sweat pants.
