Police are looking for a man who assaulted a straphanger on the subway last month—a suspect who was bold enough to wear a pink polo shirt, and cowardly enough to run away from his victim immediately.

The incident happened around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday August 23rd on the R train. The 20-year-old victim says the male suspect punched him in the mouth and the nose with a closed fist as the train doors opened at the 63rd Avenue station. Police say there were no words exchanged between the two men prior to the punch.

The victim sustained a bloody nose and a laceration to his right upper lip. The suspect fled on foot toward street level after the punch. Cops describe him as a male white or male Hispanic in his late 20's-30's, 5'7", 170 lbs, and was last seen wearing a pink shirt sleeve polo shirt, white, pink and gray stripped shorts with a white string and a book bag.
