Police are looking for three men who allegedly beat a 49-year-old man to death outside of a Brooklyn methadone clinic Friday because he didn't hold the door open for a woman who was exiting the building.

The man, Frankie Santiago, was allegedly attacked by three men at the St. Joseph's Methadone Clinic on Alabama Avenue near Livonia Avenue in East New York on Friday, the News reports. Witnesses told police that one man ran up to Santiago in the building's vestibule at around 9:30 a.m. and began arguing with him over not having opened the door for a woman.

Santiago and the man began fighting, and two of the assailant's friends joined in. Santiago suffered head trauma during the attack and was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries about four hours after the attack.

According to the News, witnesses told police that Santiago and the three men had been arguing for weeks before the fight, often over the woman Santiago allegedly refused to open the door for, who he had previously dated. The woman is also a patient at the clinic.

No arrests have been made and the three men are still being sought as of this morning.
