Police investigating a headless body that was found floating in the waters off of Red Hook are hoping that publicizing a tattoo found on the body can help investigators identify the victim.
Cops pulled the body out of the Gowanus Bay shortly after 11 a.m. on Tuesday and brought it to Pier 44, where the unidentified woman was officially pronounced dead. A witness told the NY Post that the woman looked "butchered" and that her neck looked "like it was chainsawed."
