A woman was followed into a Brooklyn restaurant's bathroom by a person who then exposed his genitals, police say.
The incident occurred on Friday, May 26, around 2:30 p.m. inside what the NYPD described as a "commercial location in the vicinity of Rockaway Parkway and Conklin Avenue" in Canarsie. A source said it was a McDonald's.
A male individual followed a 22-year-old woman into the restroom, then locked the door—and when the woman tried to leave, he "pushed her into the wall, pulled down his pants and exposed his private parts," police say.
The woman screamed and the suspect fled the restaurant. The victim did not suffer any injuries.
The police released images of the suspect exiting the restroom and outside the McDonald's as well as surveillance footage from the restroom area.
A McDonald's customer at the location told WCBS 2, "I’m very surprised, very surprised. I have heard of things happening in the middle of the night in the neighborhood, but not in the middle of the day like that.”
