Police arrested a team of bank robbers in Queens—and they suspect the group are serial criminals. Plainsclothes cops became suspicious of when Careather Williams and Dwight Washington, entered the Queens County Savings Bank in Fresh Meadows around 12:30 p.m. Saturday with their sweatshirt hoods over their heads, especially since it was pretty hot outside. Cops followed them to their getaway car, and found wigs, costumes and sunglasses in the getaway car, as well as handwritten notes demanding money and over $10,000 in cash. Williams, Washington and two accomplices were arrested and charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property; police believe the group also pulled off multiple bank hiests on Long Island.
