The shirtless man accused of fatally punching a stranger on the Brighton Beach boardwalk this summer has been arrested by police.
Kyle Gulino, 22, was charged with manslaughter on Tuesday for the apparently unprovoked attack on Dimitry Goldfarb, a longtime Brighton Beach local.
The 52-year-old Goldfarb was found with a fractured skull lying on the boardwalk at Brighton 6th Street on July 9th. He told police that he did not recognize the assailant, before dying of his injuries the next day.
Gulino allegedly approached Goldfarb and another man as they were sitting on the bench and began swinging. Police sources told the Daily News that the 22-year-old shouted, "You’re lucky I didn’t kill you both!”
Following Goldfarb's death, authorities released surveillance footage of the alleged attacker, walking shirtless and carrying a red chair. A witness eventually pointed police to the suspect.
Gulino was arrested at his Sheepshead Bay home on Tuesday evening.
