Police have arrested a Brooklyn man who allegedly raped a woman at the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District early Sunday morning.
According to a police spokesperson, cops received a call about a sexual assault at the hotel after midnight on Saturday. Upon arriving on the scene, they arrested a 24-year-old on charges of forcible rape.
Police sources told the Post that the man, along with two others, met the woman at a bar in the Standard Hotel. The victim reportedly went up to one of their hotel rooms, where the three men jumped on top of her, and one allegedly raped her.
She was able to escape the room and flee to the hotel lobby, according to the Post.
Police are still searching for the two other men. We'll update as more information becomes available.
UPDATE NOVEMBER 2nd: The Manhattan District Attorney has declined to prosecute the suspect, pending a further investigation.
