Just after 11 am, students on the ground began to secure the banners as they were fed out the windows of Jamshed Bharucha’s office.
A student signed the document outlining the vote of no confidence before it was brought up to the sit-in.
The mood at the rally was celebratory, despite the recent announcement of a tuition at the famously free Cooper Union.
Messages of intent and support were read by both Cooper Union students and those from other city universities.
A march went around the Foundation Building before the conclusion of the rally.
